In Which I am Introspective

There is something that I am very good at... that I have shown again and again is a part of my personality, but that I have not acknowledged as an important part of myself. I am a nest builder... or a niche builder. I can create an environment in which I am comfortable with relative ease. This can be a positive thing or it can be a negative thing. Examples... My dorm rooms so far. My two rooms at Case were filled with things: knick-knacks, poster, pictures, books, pens, pencils, markers, notebooks, stationary... enough to drown in...or enough to block out the rest of the world. This latest haven I have created for myself is less packed, but it is no less evocative of comfort and is filled with slips of paper: pictures, cards, notes, post-its... all with some meaning to me or some aspect that is pleasing to my aesthetic tastes.
So. A point: I can create a place (a physical place) for myself in a variety of situation. A question: What does this say about me? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I have no idea. In some way it definitely feeds into my already severely introverted behavior. It is also an effective coping mechanism... a method of adjustment to being alone in a strange place. Does one outweigh? the other? I don't think there is a definitive answer to this. But it is something I should think about.
