The Main Library at Iowa is quite large. And they are in the process of moving quite a bit of their collection. I'm not sure where or why or even how, but it gives the impression of a ghost town... of books. That is a surprisingly exciting and just a little bit creepy... At Case, the library was pristine. From the classical columns outside to the ruthlessly organized stacks, I always felt like an visitor. I was never quite organized enough to fit with the decor. It was rather like the resident population in a way... Cold and distant, but nice to look at, in theory at least, and painstakingly executed. Iowa feels much friendlier, like a friend who a bit flustered perhaps, but is well on his or her way to normalcy.
I have yet to attempt to locate a book, though. We'll see how I feel then...
